My Goal with this design was to emulate the passage of time with the different colors and intensities found in daylight; from dawn, to mid-day, to sunset, and to night. I wanted to blend the boundaries of where the audience existed and where the play took place to bring them a step closer to the world of the play. I did this by coloring the audience in colors that I felt tied to the scene. During the transitions between scenes there were projections that gave time and day and I washed the stage in colors that I felt would set up the coming scene. I also gave the color washes a watery texture that I used in the final scene.
